Wear Layer
This is the top layer of the laminate, which is transparent and provides resistance to stains, fading, and wear.
Design Layer
Below the wear layer is the design layer, which features a high-resolution photograph of wood, tile, or other materials. This layer gives laminate flooring its realistic appearance.
Rigid Core
The core layer is typically made of high-density fiberboard (HDF) or medium-density fiberboard (MDF). This layer provides structural stability and impact resistance.
Backing Layer
The bottom layer, or backing layer, serves as a moisture barrier and enhances dimensional stability. These layers are fused together through a lamination process using heat and pressure, creating a strong and versatile flooring material.
