Wear Layer
Similar to laminate flooring, hybrid flooring has a wear layer on top. This layer protects against scratches, stains, and UV fading.
Design Layer
Beneath the wear layer is the design layer. This layer includes a high-resolution photographic image that gives the flooring its realistic appearance, which can mimic hardwood, stone, or tile.
Rigid Core
The core layer of hybrid flooring is what sets it apart. It is typically made of a mix of materials like PVC (polyvinyl chloride), limestone dust, and stabilisers.
Backing Layer
At the bottom, there is a backing layer that provides additional stability and acts as a moisture barrier.
